How to earn Scrum Education Units SEUs, Renew CSM, CSPO certificate
If you are looking to renew CSM or CSPO certificate with SEUs then you have some good news. Now you can renew your certification without additional cost when you take another Scrum Alliance Certification.
Let’s assume you have CSM certification which is expired or about to expire, If you take up CSPO certification then your CSM certification will be auto renewed for free for two years.
If you had CSPO Certification, taking up CSM certification will renew your CSPO certification for two years.
Approximate cost of CSM/CSPO certification 20,000 Rs
Approximate RENEWAL cost of CSM/CSPO certification 7,500 Rs.
When you take the certification program, you basically save 7,500 Rs that you would have paid for renewal.

If you are holding any of these certifications CSM®, CSPO®, CSD®, A-CSM℠, A-CSPO℠, CSP®-SM, CSP®-PO, and CSP® Then you SEUs are required for renewing your certifications
SEUs follow a 1:1 ratio, where one hour of participation or preparation is equal to one SEU and there are six (6) categories of SEUs.

A.1 Attended Global Scrum GatheringSM

A.3 Attended Scrum Alliance user group activity
A.4 Attended Scrum Alliance-sponsored event

B.1 Received Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) Training (including video)
B.2 Received Registered Education Provider (REP) Training (only approved courses and trainers)

Category C Options
C.1 Received face-to-face training outside of Scrum Alliance
C.2 Attended live Scrum/Agile events outside of Scrum Alliance

We encourage you to give back to the community. Therefore, SEUs may be earned by providing non-compensated professional Scrum services. You will be asked to affirm that you were not compensated for your volunteer work by your employer or another party..

E.1 Prepared a Scrum presentation (preparation time only, not delivering)
E.2 Authored a book, article, or blog
E.3 Watched a Scrum/Agile training video by an instructor other than a Scrum Alliance CST
E.4 Read a Scrum/Agile book
E.5 Other independent learning (We invite instances of creative learning that do not fit into other categories)

F.1 Co-trained with the objective of learning
F.2 Received training via live webinar delivered by any trainer other than a CST
